I spent most of my life searching outside of myself for a sense of belonging and fulfillment, which ultimately led to unhealthy patterns and behaviors. In early 2000, knowing something had to change, I began my journey of self-discovery, realizing there was much more to life and myself, than I ever thought possible. Through Yoga and Meditation, I finally started to feel that sense of peace and fulfillment I had long been searching for, and realized I could not get this from someone or something outside of myself. I was able to see more of my true self, and my true potential. I felt as if I had come home. Over the past two decades, I have studied and trained with leading teachers in the fields of Yoga, Meditation, Healing Arts, and Expanding Consciousness, and am Certified as an Intuitive Healer, Reiki Master, Bars Practitioner, Level 3 HRT (Heart Resonance Therapy) Practitioner, an Early Childhood Educator, and a Doula, as well as a Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor for the following forms of Yoga; Hatha, Kundalini, Prenatal, and Meditation. I am also a full time mom, married to a wonderful man and together we have a beautiful little boy. Yoga is about quieting the mind, creating space in the body, breathing into the tension, finding that place of surrender, letting go, and ultimately opening up to more of who we are. As we deepen into our postures, we are also allowing our bodies and minds to release emotions and energies on a physical and energetic level, and finding that place of stillness within ourselves. To me, being on my mat is sacred; it’s a chance to ‘go inward.’ And that is what I teach. My intention for all my classes is to create a space for each student who enters the room to feel that sense of community and a coming home to themselves. In addition to the physical experience of yoga, my students have the opportunity, should they choose, to receive a deeper healing and restorative experience. Using various modalities, my classes combine fun and varied movement, breath work, inner connection, sacred music, meditation, Yoga Nidra (which is a deeper relaxation during Savasana offering multiple benefits), as well as energetic healing. To better explain how I use energy healing in my classes and workshops, I open up the space for the highest vibration of energy to come through that is for the greatest good of all in the class to help them heal, release and restore on a deep cellular level. My students often say they leave class feeling toned and centered, but also more relaxed, rejuvenated, grounded, and at a deeper peace with themselves. Namaste.
