Evolution Pilates and Yoga Studio COVID – 19 Safety Protocols

All students and teachers are expected to screen themselves for illness every day prior to coming into the studio.

Please check for the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and painful swallowing, stuffy or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, or loss of appetite.

Are you, or anyone you are living with, either sick, self-isolating, or quarantined? Anyone who answers yes to these questions or has had symptoms in the last 10 days should not enter the facility.  It is recommended that anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 call 8-1-1 for guidance.

Yoga and/or Pilates Mat

1. Masks are required upon entry into the studio. You can choose to remove once you are settled onto your mat. Masks will not be provided by the studio.
2. Please do not arrive late or more than 5 minutes prior to class start time. The doors will be locked and there may not be a receptionist at the desk. Please form a line around the side of the building socially distanced in the order of arrival.
3. All classes will be unheated.
4. Maximum of 5 people per class. We have placed markers on the floor of the yoga studio to indicate where you should set up your mat, in order to maintain 2.5 metres of distance between students.
5. All classes will be pre-register only (no drop ins). We will open up the classes for sign up 7 days in advance of the class. You can pre-register for classes by visiting our website, through Mindbody, or by calling or emailing the studio. If the class is fully booked, we can put you on a wait list and email you when a spot comes available.
6. To give everyone the greatest opportunity to attend classes given the much smaller class sizes, we must implement a few rules:
   1. We require 4 hours notice to cancel a class reservation. A cancellation fee will apply for late notice.
   2. Attendance limit of 3 classes a week.
7. Please bring your own clean and sanitized mat and props.
8. The studio will be sanitized between each class.

Pilates Reformer

1. Masks are required upon entry into the studio. You can choose to remove once you are settled onto your Reformer. Masks will not be provided by the studio.
2. All classes will be 55 minutes.
3. Maximum of 6 people per class.
4. Makeups can be booked 7 days in advance. If the class is fully booked, we can put you on a waitlist and email you when a spot comes available.
5. To give everyone the greatest opportunity to attend classes we require 4 hours notice to cancel a class reservation. A cancellation fee will apply for late notice.
6. Please do not arrive late or more than 5 minutes prior to class start time. The doors will be locked and there may not be a receptionist at the desk. Please form a line around the side of the building socially distanced in the order of arrival.
7. We have reconfigured the Pilates Mat room for semi-private (2 people) and personal Pilates training. Let us know if you are interested.
8. After class, please put your mask on before you start cleaning your reformer and props.
9. Physical distance of 2.5 metres between each client/Reformer in all directions at all times must be maintained.

Guidelines (for everybody!) to keep the Evolution community safe

1. Please arrive at the studio in your workout gear. Our washrooms will be available for use, but we would like to minimize their use as much as possible.
2. Please take all of your personal items into the classrooms with you. You should leave your shoes on until just before entering the class. Locker area is closed.
3. There will be a hand sanitizing station at the front entrance. Please use it every time you enter the studio.
4. We have placed markers on the floor in the reception area and hallways. Please observe social distancing and wear a mask when not on your mat/reformer.
